BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns have signed TE Julian Allen and DL Lenny Jones. Both players participated in the Browns’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.
Allen is a 6-3, 245-pound rookie out of Southern Mississippi. Allen spent two years at Lackawanna College before transferring to Southern Miss., where he totaled 22 catches for 298 yards in two seasons. He is a native of Sewell, N.J.
Jones is 6-2, 256 pounds and officially in his first NFL season out of Nevada. Originally signed by San Francisco as an undrafted free agent in 2016, he has spent time on the Rams’ and Cowboys’ practice squads.
