Browns sign running backs Timothy Flanders, Jalen Parmele with slew of injuries at position

The Browns added reinforcements to their injury-riddled stable of running backs Monday by signing Timothy Flanders and Jalen Parmele.

The team also waived wide receiver Kevin Cone and defensive back Brandon Stephens.

The Browns needed healthy bodies at running back for training camp after rookie Duke Johnson (hamstring) and Terrance West (calf) were hurt Saturday and undrafted rookie Luke Lundy suffered a concussion Sunday. Glenn Winston (knee) reported to camp injured, so the Browns had four of their six running backs sidelined as this past weekend wrapped up.

Isaiah Crowell and Shaun Draughn were the only men in the group left standing.
