Browns sign running back D’Ernest Johnson

The Cleveland Browns signed running back D’Ernest Johnson on Thursday.

In a corresponding transaction, the team waived running back L.J. Scott, who had just signed with the Browns on Monday.

Johnson, who is 5-foot-10 and 208 pounds, was last seen on the roster of the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football league, where he shared the backfield with current Browns quarterback Garrett Gilbert.
