BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns on Tuesday signed DL Ray Drew and DB Ty Zimmerman to the practice squad. To make room on the roster, the team released DL and OL from the practice squad.
Drew is a 6-4, 282-pound rookie out of Georgia, where he totaled 113 career tackles, 13 tackles for loss and seven sacks in 46 games. A native of Thomasville, Ga., Drew was originally signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2015 and was released at the end of training camp. Drew attended Thomas County Central High School in Thomasville, Ga.
