The Browns signed two of their league-high 12 picks from the recent NFL Draft on Thursday, finalizing deals with outside linebacker Nate Orchard and tight end Randall Telfer.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound Orchard is a second-round selection (No. 51 overall) from the University of Utah. He started 36 of the 50 games in which he appeared for the Utes, compiling 186 tackles, 25 sacks, 10 passes defensed, eight forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. As a senior last season, Orchard had 18½ sacks.
