Browns sign George Atkinson, Marcus Burley

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns kicked off their offseason program by signing two of their own free agents. Running back George Atkinson III, an exclusive rights free agent, and defensive back Marcus Burley, a restricted free agent, both signed, the team announced on Monday.

Atkinson, 24, played mostly on special teams last season, his first with the Browns. He served as a kick returner for parts of the season and also added six special teams tackles. He carried the ball seven times for 34 yards and scored a touchdown in the season finale in Pittsburgh. Atkinson was originally signed by the Raiders in 2014 as an undrafted free agent.
