Browns set to add veteran Drew Stanton to new-look QBs room

The Browns are set to add another veteran quarterback.

Cleveland and former Cardinals signal-caller Drew Stanton agreed to terms Sunday evening, giving the Browns another new face to a roster that’s been reshaped over the past few weeks.

Stanton, 33, spent the past five years in Arizona and enters his 11th NFL season. While he mostly served as a backup to Carson Palmer, Stanton saw significant action last year when Palmer suffered a broken arm, passing for 894 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions in four starts. When Palmer went down with an ACL injury in 2014, Stanton started eight games (including a Wild Card appearance against Carolina), passing for 1,711 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions.
