Browns say safety Jermaine Whitehead's threatening social posts 'unacceptable'

DENVER -- The Cleveland Browns issued a statement condemning the profanity-laced and threatening social media comments by safety Jermaine Whitehead following Sunday's loss at Denver.

"Jermaine Whitehead's social media posts following today's game were totally unacceptable and highly inappropriate," a Browns spokesperson said. "We immediately spoke with Jermaine upon learning of these comments. The Browns in no way condone that type of language or behavior. This matter will be further addressed internally."

Broncos tight end Noah Fant ran over Whitehead on the way to a 75-yard touchdown reception. That, and a missed tackle on another big Denver play, drew criticism of Whitehead on social media.
