Browns reportedly hire Todd Haley as offensive coordinator, will allow him to call plays

On Monday, Mike Silver of the NFL Network reported that the Cleveland Browns are hiring Todd Haley to be the team’s next offensive coordinator, per sources familiar with negotiations. Given their past relationship, one of those “sources” could very well be head coach Hue Jackson.

Earlier in the day, Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer reported that the Browns were on the verge of reaching a deal with Haley. Albert Breer of The MMQB added that a source tells him that Jackson “will cede play-calling duties to Haley.
