BALTIMORE: Thanks to Twitter, it may forever be remembered as the ThighMaster catch, although at age 30 Browns tight end Gary Barnidge is too young to have heard of the Suzanne Somers exercise gadget.
But just when some thought the eight-year veteran would never top his acrobatic 19-yard reception a week ago at San Diego, Barnidge came up with perhaps the most unusual catch in Browns history.
With 12:23 remaining Sunday in the Browns’ 33-30 overtime victory over the Baltimore Ravens in M&T Bank Stadium, Barnidge’s 18-yard touchdown gave his team a one-point lead.
How he did it will be talked about for years to come.
