Browns’ new GM shakes up bottom of roster with flurry of moves

New Cleveland Browns general manager cast veteran receiver Kenny Britt aside quickly after taking control of his new job, and he’s now made a series of moves that shook up the bottom of the team’s roster.

New additions to the team’s 53-man roster include defensive end Lavar Edwards, receiver Matt Hazel, and offensive lineman Geoff Gray. To make room for the new signings, the team announced it waived receiver Bryce Treggs, defensive end Tyrone Holmes, and defensive tackle T.Y. McGill.

The team also added offensive linemen Laurence Gibson and Ian Silberman to its practice squad and released offensive lineman Korren Kirven from the squad.
