In the first half, things seemed auspicious when Dayes returned the kickoff past the 50 yard line. The Browns failed to take advantage of this position and went 3 and out. After holding the Jags on their first drive, Kizer’s first pass on the next possession was picked off. Jacksonville responded by scoring a touchdown on the shortened field. On the ensuing kickoff, Jacksonville attempted an onside kick and recovered, however Jacksonville LB Donald Payne was offsides at the time of the kick.
