The Cleveland Browns officially announced the trade for quarterback Deshaun Watson on Sunday.
The deal brings Watson and a fifth-round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft from the Houston Texans in exchange for Cleveland’s first-round selections in 2022, 2023 and 2024, along with a third-round selection in 2023 and a fourth-round selection in 2024.
The news of the trade broke on Friday afternoon and the past two days have been filled with an ongoing debate about acquiring a quarterback who, while talented, is also dealing with civil lawsuits filed by 22 women who have accused him of inappropriate behavior and sexual assault.
