As the Cleveland Browns start practice for Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints, the roster is going to get a lot of attention, especially given QB Deshaun Watson’s concussion protocol. On Tuesday, GM Andrew Berry made seven moves related to the practice squad, along with waiving RB Audric Estime on Monday, which left the Browns with an open roster spot on both their 53-man and practice units.
Wednesday morning, Cleveland filled those two open roster spots. First, the Browns signed TE Carsen Ryan back from the practice squad. Ryan, a seventh-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft, was waived to make room for QB Dillon Gabriel before returning to Cleveland’s practice squad and being elevated for Week 8’s game.
