DETROIT, Michigan -- It hasn't been often recently that the Browns defense has had the finger pointed squarely at them following a loss. Not that they've been perfect by any stretch, but you could point to certain games this season where, had the offense done their part, the Browns could have walked away with a win.
Even the numbers reflected that coming into Sunday's game. The run defense was stout. The pass defense was a work in progress, but there were players like Jason McCourty at cornerback making plays. And they were healthy coming into the game.
Sunday started promising -- the Lions went three-and-out on their first series and turned the ball over on their second.
