Browns comeback falls short in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — The 2017 Browns will live in infamy.

Cleveland posted its first winless season in franchise history after a 28-24 loss to the Steelers Sunday at Heinz Field. The Browns join the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only two NFL teams to ever finish 0-16.

Cleveland rallied past a double-digit deficit to tie the game in the third quarter before stumbling down the stretch. The Browns also did themselves no favors as self-inflicted wounds — turnovers, penalties, missed tackles and other miscues — hampered their most-earnest efforts.

It was over when Corey Coleman dropped a pass from DeShone Kizer on 4th-and-2 after the rookie quarterback escaped a collapsing pocket to make one final throw.
