On Saturday, the Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve signed FB Marquez Williams to their practice squad.
Williams (5-10, 260 lbs) was originally a seventh-round draft pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars this year. The team waived him on October 9. This preseason, he had 1 catch for 4 yards, but did not see any action in the regular season.
Williams was listed as the 9th-ranked fullback by Dane Brugler of CBS Sports this past offseason. He could serve as competition next year to FB Danny Vitale, who has had a limited role with the club in 2017.
