Browns activate Darius Hillary, place Reggie Porter on injured reserve

The Cleveland Browns made some roster moves on Wednesday, elevating defensive back Darius Hillary to their active roster. Hillary’s promotion came as a result of defensive back Reggie Porter injuring his achilles during Monday’s practice and his subsequent placement on injured reserve.

Rookie offensive lineman Korren Kirven was signed to the team’s practice squad to replace Hillary.

Hillary is officially in his first NFL season after going undrafted in 2016 and signing with the Cincinnati’s practice squad. The Browns picked him up midseason and he appeared in one game with them. He spent the rest of the season on their practice squad and stuck with the team throughout the summer, preseason and has played on their practice squad since.
