CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Browns have suspended cornerback K'Waun Williams for two weeks and fined him for multiple violations of team rules.
Williams' agent, Evan Krakower, told Cleveland.com that Williams plans to appeal the suspension, describing the discipline as "excessive'' and "unwarranted.''
The team announced the suspension on Wednesday. Williams sat out Cleveland's first exhibition game Friday night against the Green Bay Packers after suffering an ankle injury the week prior at a scrimmage at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.
Though the Browns expected Williams to be ready for the exhibition, he reportedly decided his ankle was too sore for him to play.
