The 2017 NFL Draft is just a few days away, and the Cleveland Browns are putting the finishing touches on their draft board. While most of the focus has been on what they will do with the No. 1 overall pick in the first round, Cleveland has several needs they plan to address with all of their draft picks. Here is Chat Sports' projections for every Browns pick in the draft:
Round 1, Pick 1 - Myles Garrett, EDGE, Texas A&M
Sharpie it. Unless the Browns do something REALLY stupid or get a Godfather trade offer, the pick will be Myles Garrett. Don't buy the rumors that the Browns are thinking about taking Trubisky at No. 1 (although they do like him). This type of story happens every year.
Round 1, Pick 12 - Patrick Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech
The Browns (now that their scouting staff is in place, unlikely last year) will take a QB early. If they don't get Trubisky, they'll go with Mahomes. He has immense upside, although needs time to develop. That's not an issue for the Browns, who will be bad again next year.
Round 3, Pick 33 - Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida
If Wilson falls to Round 2, he won't last long. He's a great fit for the Browns, who badly need corner help. This would be strong value and give the Browns likely day one starter.
Round 3, Pick 52 - Josh Jones, S, NC State
Jones, in many ways, is a lesser version of Obi Melifonwu. He would be a Day 1 starter for the Browns, filling a massive need.
Round 3, Pick 65 - Curtis Samuel, WR, Ohio State
Here's a dynamic weapon for the Browns offense. Samuel is a Percy Harvin type, who can play some RB but will mostly be a slot WR. It's a great fit and Samuel could go in Round 2.
Round 4, Pick 108 - Vincent Taylor, DT, Oklahoma State
Round 5, Pick 145 - Josh Harvey-Clemons, LB/S, Louisville
Round 5, Pick 175 - Jehu Chesson, WR, Michigan
Round 5, Pick 181 - James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh
Round 6, Pick 185 - Jermaine Eluemunor, OT, Texas A&M
Round 6, Pick 188 - Davon Godchaux, DL, LSU
