The Cleveland Browns were established in 1946 playing in the AAFC, in which they won 5 championships. In 1950, they switched alliances and joined the NFL, where they won another 5 championships before moving the franchise to Baltimore in 1996. They rejoined the NFL in 1999 as an expansion franchise.
