When Clemson takes the field against Penn State next Saturday, the Tigers’ defense is going to look much different.
There will be no Peter Woods, DeMonte Capehart, or T.J. Parker, as all three have opted out. Jahiem Lawson and Wade Woodaz are both out with injuries. That is a lot of production that must be replaced.
With so many key pieces missing from the front seven, the Tigers are going to need some of the younger players to step up, and linebacker Sammy Brown has been encouraged by what he’s seen in practice.
“I am really confident in the guys that are stepping up and stepping into those roles,” Brown said.
