Wake Forest netted a goal first on a penalty kick that was originally ruled as a blocked shot but was overturned to a handball on Floki Stephensen to go ahead 1-0 in the 12′. Nathan Richmond waited just over a minute to net the first goal for Clemson in the bottom right corner off his left foot with an assist from Cooper Hineline to even the score 1-1 in the 13′.
