CLEMSON — Week after week, linebacker Sammy Brown has helped anchor Clemson’s defense, one that continues to find its rhythm as the season unfolds.
Brown has started every game this year and is currently third on the team with 42 tackles. One of the defense’s primary goals this season has been simple but relentless: force takeaways.
During last week’s practice, the Tigers focused on the details that led to two turnovers in the Tigers’ win over Boston College. But Brown also knows that overthinking it can throw a defense off balance.
“When you start pressing for it, you start trying to do too much,” he said.
