Tigers have to play better to beat A&M this year

For three and a half quarters in last year’s win over Texas A&M, Clemson controlled the football game and it controlled quarterback Kellen Mond. But, as Dabo Swinney told it on Tuesday, “we lost our mind” in the fourth quarter.

In the first half, Mond was anything but dangerous against the Tigers. Brent Venables’ scheme kept him in check as the Aggies quarterback completed just 7 of 17 passes for 97 yards and rushed for just 19 more.

Clemson led 14-3 at halftime.

The Tigers extended their lead to 15 points, 28-13, by the end of the third quarter and appeared to be in complete control of the game.
