CLEMSON – The Clemson Tigers cut the SMU Mustangs’ lead to 10-7 with a 32-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Christopher Vizzina to wide receiver T.J. Moore at Memorial Stadium Saturday with 8:51 left in the second quarter.
Vizzina, in his first collegiate start, began the drive with a 12-yard pass down the middle to Moore, and followed it with another first down gain with a pass to Antonio Williams, who was brought down on Clemson’s 47-yard line.
Vizzina then targeted Bryant Wesco Jr. for a deep pass down to the 10-yard line, but the sophomore wide receiver could not make the catch.
