Clemson, S.C.—Forty-four former Clemson football players are on NFL rosters entering training camps for the 32 league teams this week. The number does not include three players who are free agents and four others who are on rosters in the Canadian Football League.
Here are some notes on the Tigers on NFL rosters as of July 27, 2017:
- Clemson has 44 former players on NFL rosters, 24 defensive players, 18 offensive players and two special teams players.
- As far as former Tigers by position, there are eight wide receives, seven defensive ends, six defensive tackles, five cornerbacks, three safeties, three linebackers, three running backs, two tight ends, two offensive tackles, two offensive guards and one placekicker, one punter and one quarterback.
