Dillon (S.C.) 2019 defensive end Shamar McCollum, an emerging name on the recruiting scene, is getting early interest from Clemson and visited for the first time a week ago.
McCollum (6-4, 195) was invited to compete at the Dabo Swinney Camp and did so last Wednesday.
“I enjoyed being at Clemson and competing a lot,” he said. “They were my favorite team coming up, and I just want to thank Coach Swinney for giving me a chance to compete at a wonderful camp.”
McCollum broke out as a sophomore last season, when he racked up 80 tackles, 38 tackles for loss and 15 sacks and recorded an interception.
