Swinney Talks Being Visibly Emotional on ESPN Broadcast Postgame

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was visibly emotional following Saturday’s 34-21 loss to Syracuse at Death Valley.

The ESPN broadcast showed Swinney, appearing to be teary-eyed during the postgame alma mater after the Tigers dropped to 1-3 and 0-2 in ACC play with the loss to the Orange.

During his postgame press conference, Swinney was asked about ESPN catching him being emotional after the game and what was going through his mind.

“I mean, disappointed. Painful. I hurt. I’m human. I’m not a cyborg,” Swinney said. “This is my life, man. I mean, I’ve been here 23 years.
