Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media on Tuesday morning ahead of Saturday’s showdown between his fourth-ranked Tigers and the No. 9 LSU Tigers.
Swinney gave an injury update on how redshirt sophomore running back Jay Haynes has continued to progress, as he recovers from his ACL injury.
Swinney said Haynes will not play against LSU, but is “right there” in terms of his recovery.
“He’s coming,” Swinney said. “He’s not going to play this week, but he’s right there.”
Swinney noted that Haynes has been in green (limited) during camp and they knew going in that Haynes likely wouldn’t play against LSU.
