Swinney on Woods’ Absence from Wednesday’s Practice

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media on Wednesday evening and commented on star defensive tackle Peter Woods’ absence from Wednesday afternoon’s practice at Jervey Meadows.

Swinney confirmed that Woods missed the practice because he was sick, as The Clemson Insider previously reported.

“He tried to go, but we just didn’t want him around anybody,” Swinney said. “He was sick as a dog. He was sick this morning, and it just got worse as the day went. So, they just didn’t want him around anybody.”
