During his weekly press conference on Tuesday, Dabo Swinney provided the latest update on running back Jay Haynes, as he looks to get back after tearing an ACL last December.
Haynes began fall camp wearing a green jersey, meaning he was able to do individual work, but not live contact. However, Swinney revealed on Tuesday that Haynes suffered a minor setback that will slightly delay his return.
“He is progressing. He had a little setback,” the head coach said on Tuesday from the Smart Family Media Center. “Had a little quad strain that set him back.”
The Tigers lost Haynes to a torn ACL in last year’s ACC Championship Game.
