Swinney Gives Injury Update on Klubnik

Following Clemson’s 35-24 loss to SMU on Saturday at Memorial Stadium, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an injury update on starting quarterback Cade Klubnik.

Of course, Klubnik did not play Saturday, snapping his 34-game starting streak. The senior signal caller sprained an ankle in last week’s win at Boston College.

During his postgame press conference after the SMU game, Swinney said Klubnik did everything he could to get better. He was in the building early all week and did everything he could to play, but he just wasn’t ready.

“I’ve never had a guy try as hard as him to be able to play,” Swinney said.
