Swinney Comments On Suspension of Ian Schieffelin

CLEMSON — The arrest of Ian Schieffelin made headlines in the middle of August.

Schieffelin was pulled over on August 17 and arrested on suspicion of DUI. On Tuesday, the newly converted tight end released a statement indicating those charges had been dropped and he would plead to reckless driving.

Dabo Swinney also weighed in on the subject on Tuesday during his first weekly press conference of the season.

“He’ll grow from it and it will be a learning experience,” the head coach said from the Smart Family Media Center. “I think we all have a choice.
