CLEMSON — Last month, news broke that true freshman Marquise Henderson had been dismissed from the Clemson Football team.
The in-state talent, out of Belton-Honea Path, signed with the Tigers as a four-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. He was an early enrollee and was on campus for spring practice.
However, Henderson dealt with injuries, as well as behavioral issues, and was not present for the spring game.
On Tuesday, head coach Dabo Swinney was asked about Henderson’s dismissal during Clemson Football’s Media Outing.
“It just didn’t work out,” Swinney said from the Smart Family Media Center.
