Swinney Asked for Latest Update on Antonio Williams

During his weekly radio show Monday night, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was asked for the latest update on the status of star wide receiver Antonio Williams, and his outlook for Saturday’s game at Georgia Tech.

“He’s just day-to-day right now,” Swinney said.

Williams injured a hamstring early in the Week 1 loss to LSU and did not play in last Saturday’s win over Troy.

Williams led the Tigers last season with 75 receptions, 904 receiving yards and 11 touchdown catches. All three were career-highs.

After the Troy game, Swinney commented on if he thinks Williams — and starting safety Khalil Barnes, who is also dealing with a hamstring injury — might be back for the Georgia Tech game.
