Scrimmage Insider: Injuries and illness updates, defense shines in Death Valley

CLEMSON – Co-defensive coordinator Mickey Conn was thrilled with Wednesday’s stadium scrimmage, touting two big interceptions by the defense. Head coach Dabo Swinney was also happy with the scrimmage, but it’s obvious that further attrition has opened the door for walk-ons to play prominent roles.

The Tigers scrimmaged for two hours inside Death Valley, and Swinney led off with injury/illness news. It sounds like right tackle Walker Parks has mono and will miss the rest of the spring (he’s been really sick, according to Swinney, who said they used to call it the “kissing disease” back in Alabama).
