President Donald Trump reportedly plans to create a commission on college athletics.
Trump intends to come up with a Presidential Commission to study college sports and find solutions to issues “ailing” the industry, according to Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger.
This endeavor could span months, per Dellenger’s report.
After Trump and Saban met last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration is considering an executive order that “could increase scrutiny” of NIL payments to college athletes.
“Trump’s involvement, though not surprising, is a landmark moment in college athletics history — the country’s most powerful elected leader potentially shaping the future of the industry,” Dellenger wrote.
