A few days after naming Clemson as one of the schools standing out, a portal defensive lineman announced a commitment elsewhere.
Auburn transfer Malik Blocton announced on Thursday that he will continue his career at LSU. On Monday, Blocton named Clemson, LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Alabama as schools that were standing out.
Blocton was a Clemson target coming out of high school as a four-star prospect in the 2024 class.. He made multiple visits to campus during his recruitment.
The Tigers have since landed two interior defensive linemen of their own, with Blocton never even arranging a visit to Clemson.
