Lawrenceville (Ga.) Collins Hill shortstop Nasim Nunez had just gotten off the team’s bus after one of his games in February this season when his head coach told him that he received a text from Clemson head coach Monte Lee.
“I was like what does he want with me?” Nunez recalled during an interview with The Clemson Insider. “He was like he wants you to give him a call tonight.
“I called coach Lee that night at like 9 o’clock, and he was like we want to get you up to Clemson as soon as possible.”
He visited Clemson three days later, and the rest is history.
