This national outlet handed out a grade to No. 4 Clemson for its season-opening defeat against ninth-ranked LSU on Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.

CBS Sports published a Week 1 report card, and Clemson received a ‘C-’ grade after suffering a 17-10 loss to LSU.

Clemson has now lost three season openers in a row and four of its last five season openers. Clemson was 12-1 in season openers in head coach Dabo Swinney’s first 13 years.

“Clemson is just 1-4 in season openers over the last five years and has been held to 10 points or less in all four losses,” CBS Sports’ David Cobb wrote.
