CLEMSON – Clemson’s Lucas Mahlstedt was named ACC Baseball’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year on Thursday.
He became the first Tiger since 2019 (Logan Davidson) and third in history (Pat Krall, 2016) to receive the honor for baseball. The ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards were established in 2007 to be awarded annually to the top junior or senior student-athlete in their respective sports.
Mahlstedt, who had a 3.73 GPA in two seasons (2024,25) at Clemson and earned his degree in physics on May 9, 2025, was a second-team Academic All-American by CSC in 2025. With that selection, he became the first Tiger in history to be an All-American on and off the field in the same year.
