LSU head coach Brian Kelly provided an injury update regarding his team’s star quarterback on Friday.
Kelly said Garrett Nussmeier has tendinitis in his patella. According to Kelly, he does not have a torn ACL, as was rumored this week to possibly be the case.
“This is pre-existing, and he probably just planted the wrong way,” Kelly said. “There’s nothing really to see on film with it. But it pissed it off – aggravated it, would be the better way to put it, for me… He aggravated it a little bit, but he’s good to go.”
Kelly says that on a scale of 1-10, Nussmeier’s injury is a 1.
