Lawrence Named Finalist for 2 Major NFL Awards

Following an outstanding 2025 season, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback and former Clemson star Trevor Lawrence has been named a finalist for two major NFL awards.

On Thursday, Lawrence was announced as a finalist for 2025 Associated Press Most Valuable Player, as well as 2025 AP Comeback Player of the Year.

Lawrence is one of five finalists for each of those awards. The winners will be announced at the annual NFL Honors ceremony on Feb. 5 (9 p.m., NBC/NFL Network).

For AP Most Valuable Player, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford are the other finalists, while McCaffrey, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott are the other finalists for AP Comeback Player of the Year.
