While we know a restructuring of the coaching staff has taken place on the defensive side of the ball for Clemson, head coach Dabo Swinney has yet to formally announce any changes since Mickey Conn was dismissed as safeties coach following the season.
What we do know is that Thomas Allen, who took on a larger role with the secondary last season, is now out on the road recruiting. Allen, who is also the son of defensive coordinator Tom Allen, is expected to take on a larger role with the safeties moving forward.
Allen and linebackers coach Ben Boulware made a stop at Halls in Tennessee to offer four-star safety Jarrell Chandler, who was last on campus for the season-opener against LSU.
