Late drought costs Tigers in loss to Virginia to snap home winning streak

CLEMSON – Another late drought cost Clemson in a loss to Virginia Tuesday night.

Clemson went on a six-minute drought from the field late in the second half and Virginia pulled away for a 75-65 victory in Littlejohn Coliseum Tuesday night. Jayden Gardner led Virginia with 25 points. Hunter Tyson paced four Tigers in double figures, scoring 15. David Collins added 14, PJ Hall scored 13 and Nick Honor added 11.

Clemson had just four points off the bench and was outscored in the paint 34-22. There were 15 lead changes and the game was tied 15 times.
