CLEMSON – Redshirt freshman defensive back Kylon Griffin didn’t find out he was going to play against Notre Dame until two days before the game, but came up with one of the game’s biggest plays with his first career interception.

Griffin, out of Montgomery (AL) Catholic Preparatory School, entered this season having played just four snaps in two games while redshirting last season. Griffin entered Saturday’s contest against the Irish with 57 snaps on the season, but 37 came against Florida Atlantic. He played 42 against the Irish, however, with starting safeties RJ Mickens and Jalyn Phillips on the shelf.
