CLEMSON — Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik was not throwing the football during practice on Monday as the Tigers continued to prep for the Pinstripe Bowl.
To be clear, the senior signal caller was taking reps, but he just wasn’t actually making any throws.
While meeting with the media on Monday following practice, wide receiver Tyler Brown disclosed that Klubnik is dealing with a thumb injury.
“We’re making sure he’s ready on game day,” Brown said. “He’ll be ready when the time comes.”
Klubnik did have have throwing hand bang off of a South Carolina defender’s helmet after a pass attempt during the second half of the 28-14 win over the Gamecocks a little over two weeks ago.
