There’s a notable absence from Clemson’s starting lineup for Friday’s game against Florida State.
Sophomore infielder Jarren Purify is not in the Tigers’ lineup for the series opener against the Seminoles in Tallahassee.
According to the Clemson Radio Network, Purify tweaked his ankle and is wearing a boot.
Per head coach Erik Bakich on the network, Purify turned his ankle, but it’s nothing serious. He is day-to-day and could play tomorrow (Saturday), Bakich said.
Purify has played in 44 games this season and is hitting .311 with four home runs, 28 RBI, 44 runs scored and 22 stolen bases.
