Is the end near?
Last night’s 7-0 loss to Georgia was a definite setback for Clemson’s hopes of making the NCAA Tournament, which could mean the end for head coach Jack Leggett.
Granted there are still 15 games remaining and things can turn around, but the Tigers are running out of time.
Before last night’s disappointing effort, it seemed as if Clemson was turning the corner. The Tigers had won five straight games, the bats were starting to come alive, the pitching was getting better and the errors were few.
But in Georgia’s first shutout of a Clemson team in 50 years, none of those things showed up.
